Matilda The Musical

This year's Musical Theatre Club's show of Matilda is on Tuesday 13th and Wednesday 14th June 2017 at 5pm in the school hall.  Tickets are available from the office for £2 each.

Musical Theatre Club will take place in the Spring and Summer term.  Check back after Christmas for more information.

Well done to the children who participated in The Lion King Show.  They performed in 2 fantastic shows and made us all very proud!  Thank you to the parents for their support, Mrs S Evans and Mrs Edmunds for their help with the costumes, and Mrs C Horrigan for her amazing skills with the make up!

The Lion King Show will take place on Tuesday 14th and Wednesday 15th June at 5pm.  Tickets on sale soon.

This week we had a practise of make up from a professional make up artist. The children were very excited and the make up was amazing!

We were extremely lucky to take part in a workshop on how to move like an animal with a professional acrobat who performed for many years in The Tarzan Show in Disneyland Paris.

     

Auditions

As I am sure the children have told you our production this year is The Lion King.  Once again we have had an amazing amount of children attending sessions, and all are working hard and looking forward to putting the show together.  Next Tuesday (9th Feb) is the audition session.  All children are to attend as normal.  Year 6 children will be auditioning for the main cast, and the rest of the children will be auditioning for supporting roles, and singing solos.  Parts will be allocated as soon as possible.

Musical Theatre club begins again this week on Tuesday 19th January for years 4,5,6.  Please remember to return permission slips to school.  PE or dance kit must be worn.  Children must be collected by a responsible adult.

MUSICAL MADNESS TICKETS

 

Cwmlai Musical Theatre Club’s production of Musical Madness will take place on Tuesday 30^th June in the school hall.  There will be two performances – 2pm and 5pm.  Tickets costs £1 each and can be purchased from Miss Horrigan.  Please fill in and return the form below with money for tickets.

 

There will be a dress rehearsal for the children to perform to the rest of the school on Monday 29^th June. 

 

For the performances the children will wear the t-shirts we have purchased and black leggings (trousers for boys).  Can all leggings be brought in to school and given to Mrs Brown by the end of this week.  Please make sure names are on them.  Girls hair must be tied back from their faces, preferably in a French plait or a bun.

Musical Theatre Club takes place on a Tuesday after school from 3.20-4.20pm.  The club is run by Miss Horrigan and Mrs Brown and is for children in years 4-6. 

 

The children are currently working hard to prepare for their production of Cwmlai's Musical Madness on Tuesday 30th June. Tickets will be on sale after half term.
