Living And Learning As One

Greenpower Electric Race Car STEM Project

Each year the children in year 6 take part in a project that involves building and racing their very own electric car.

The Greenpower Goblin car is a kit car designed specifically for primary schools to use to introduce practical engineering to 10-11 year olds. In building it they will receive an introduction to the use of basic tools and electrical systems whilst also improving learning in the subjects of science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM).

At the end of the project the children take part in an organised race event held at the Renishaw factory in Miskin, where they compete against other race teams from around England and Wales .

In order to run this project successfully we rely heavily upon the kind and generous donations and sponsorships of local businesses. If you would like to become involved in this project as a sponsor please do not hesitate to contact Mr Curnell for more information.
